By outsourcing the fishmeal business into Köster Marine Proteins on 1st January 2006, the restructuring of Köster AG into a holding was completed.

In the course of this spin off, the former chairman of the board of Köster AG, Malte Thomsen, moved on into Köster Marine Proteins as sole Managing Director. He is a skilled trader with 25 years of experience in trading fishmeal.

Senior Manager Michael Lutz is head of Quality Management, Logistics and Terminal. Furthermore, KMP consists of an experienced team deployed in all divisions.

The close cooperation with Köster Holding continues in the future as Gadso Hautmans, today's sole director of the board of Köster AG, assists as an advisor in the daily business.
